BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER (Ford Cortina Mk1 Parts) (1200 & 1500) (1962- 66) & (1500GT 1963- Aug 65 Only)

Here's a new Brake Master Cylinder (5/8th bore) for the following models from Ford  -

FORD

Ford Cortina Mk1 (1200cc & 1500cc)  (Front Discs)      (1962- 66)

Ford Cortina Mk1 (1500GT)                (Not Lotus)         (*** 1963 to Aug 65 Only ***)

(Yes it will also go on the Front Drum model - The only difference is the Disc model used this bigger Pot) 

*** Not for later 1500GT's of Sep 1965- 66 which were fitted with larger Front Brake Calipers (54mm pistons) and a larger 0.7" Brake Master Cylinder to match.

This Master Cylinder won't suit because it's (5/8") bore is to small.

If you have the later Cortina Mk1 1500GT (Sep 1965- 66) you'll need a 0.7 bore master cylinder - See my other listing or phone me.

Not for the Lotus Cortina Mk1 which requires a 0.7" or a 0.75" bore Brake Master cylinder.

On most cars you'll find an all alloy Master Cylinder was originally used, this version with a clear reservoir is a direct replacement - It's a bit taller than the original but fits easily in place of the old original. 

Note - You'll need to swap the rod for your old one, easy - it's only held in place by a circlip.
