Description

Here's a new set of Single Valve Springs (x8) for the following models from Triumph -

TRIUMPH

Triumph Spitfire Mk1 (1147cc) (Eng No/ FC ) (1962- 65)
Triumph Spitfire Mk2 (1147cc) (Eng No/ FC) (1965- 67)
Triumph Spitfire Mk3 (1300cc) (Eng No/ FD, FE) (1967- 70)
Triumph Spitfire MkIV (1300cc) (Eng No/ FH, FK, FL) (**1970- Aug 71 Only**)

(** Only up to Eng No/ FH25000, FK25,000, FL25,000 in Aug 1971 **)

(** After that they used Double Valve Springs **)

You get x8 springs here which is enough for one engine (x4 Inlet and x4 exhaust), the photo shows 8 of them in a packet. You replace these springs whenthe Cylinder Head is removed and a tool to compress the old springs, remove the collets and then to refit the new springs.

Replacing these springs is really very worthwhile, the springs will have weakened with age and some can even break. The results are problems running at medium / high revs and possibly burnt out / leaking valves.
