Here's a new Metric Front Brake Pad Fitting Kit for the following models from Ford -

FORD

Ford Escort Mk1 (1600cc Mexico, RS1600)

(** From Mar 72 - Nov 74 **)

Ford Escort Mk1 (2.0 Mexico, RS2000)

(** From Mar 72 - Nov 74 **)

(Not for the basic Escort Mk1 models 1100, 1300, 1300GT etc)

These are for Metric Calipers- Before the above Ch. No/s they used Imperial Calipers.

Identify Your Calipers -

Imperial Calipers - The pins that go through the tops of the pads are 6.0mm fat. The thread for the brake pipe is Imperial. The Caliper mounting holes are an Imperial size.

Metric Calipers - The pins that go through the tops of the pads are 4.5mm fat. The thread for the brake pipe is Metric and the Caliper mounting holes are a larger Metric size.
