Here's a new Metric Front Brake Pad Fitting Kit for the following models from Ford -

FORD

Ford Escort Mk2 1.0, 1.1, 1.3 (Dec 74 - Aug 80)

Ford Escort Mk2 Van 30, 35, 45 1100cc, 1300cc (Mar 75 - Aug 80)

Ford Escort Mk2 1.6, 1.6 Sport, GHIA, RS1800, RS2000 (Dec 74 - Aug 80)

Nor for anyone who's put wider Vented discs on - Solid Discs Only.

The Escort Mk2 always had Metric calipers but I'm including the info below as I know lots of these are on kits cars etc..

These are for Metric Calipers-

Identify Your Calipers -

Imperial Calipers - The pins that go through the tops of the pads are 6.0mm fat. The thread for the brake pipe is Imperial. The Caliper mounting holes are an Imperial size.

Metric Calipers - The pins that go through the tops of the pads are 4.5mm fat. The thread for the brake pipe is Metric and the Caliper mounting holes are a larger Metric size.
