FUEL PUMP (MG Midget 1500 Parts) (1974- 77 Only) (** Check Eng. No/ **)

Here's a new new mechanical Fuel Pump (Straight Lever Type - No Spacer Block) for the following models from MG -

MG Midget 1500cc  (**1974- 77 Only **)

You MUST check your Eng. No/ before buying this item - Don't rely on the picture.

(You'll find the Engine No/ just below the rear most Spark Plug on the Engine)

(It is NOT the VIN or Commission No/ on the Metal Vin Plate on the Body).

There are several type of fuel pumps used and they are not interchangeable as the lever that goes into the side of the engine is different. 

This pump has the Straight arm not the Curved arm used on later models.

If you are unsure then take your pump off the block and look at the arm and check if a spacer block is being used.

This fuel pump has push on connections, you push your fuel flexible fuel pipes on and tighten them with hose clips.

Note - I have seen the earlier Straight Arm Pump (No Spacer Block) fitted to later engines that need the Curved Arm Pump + Spacer. Possibly because the correct pump was not available at the time. This is likely why they purchased a new pump as that didn't work properly. 

So to decide which pump you need - Look at the Engine Number - Not the pump you find already fitted.

Don't think this is the same a Dolomite / Toledo or Any old Triumph  - It's Not.
