Description

Here's a new Ignition Coil, it is a non Ballast 12v coil and suits the following models from Triumph -

(Colour may vary between Black or Silver)

TRIUMPH

Triumph Spitfire Mk1 (1147cTriumph Spitfire Mk1 (1147cc)

Triumph Spitfire Mk2 (1147cc)

Triumph Spitfire Mk3 (1300cc)

(Only up to Dec 1970)

(Not for the Spitfire MkIV & 1500, they use a Ballast Coil - See my other listing)

Triumph GT6 Mk1

Triumph GT6 Mk2

(Only up to Dec 1970)

(Not for the GT6 Mk3, that uses a Ballast Coil - See my other listing)

This function of this coil is to generate the 000's of volts required by your spark plugs, they deteriorate with age and the insulation between the wires inside can breakdown and therefore the coil needs replacing once in a while.
