Description

Here's a new Starter Ring Gear (104 Teeth) for the following models from Jaguar -

JAGUAR

Jaguar MkX (3.8 Litre) (1961- 64)

(** Not for the later MkX 4.2 Litre **)

(* Manual Only - Not for Automatics **)

This Ring Gear fits round your engine flywheel and the starter motor engages it's teeth to turn your engine.

With time the teeth become worn away and your starter motor will jam so that you have to rock the car back and forward in gear to free it off - then try again.

After more wear the starter motor will just skip over the teeth of the ring gear making a noise.

If either of these happen you need to buy this ring gear.

To fit this you have to take out the gearbox.
