Description

Here's a new Starter Ring Gear (Bolt On Type) for the following models from Triumph -

TRIUMPH

Triumph TR3a (From 1959- ) (** From Engine TS 50,000 onwards **)
Triumph TR3b (Up to 1962)

Triumph TR4 (1961- 65)

This is a Bolt On Ring Gear, before TS 50,000 they used a Shrink on Ring Gear.

This fits round your engine flywheel and the starter motor engages it's teeth to turn your engine.

With time the teeth become worn away and your starter motor will jam so that you have to rock the car back and forward in gear to free it off - then try again.

After more wear the starter motor will just skip over the teeth of the ring gear making a noise.

If either of these happen you need to buy this ring gear.
